Welcome! I’m Kimberly.
I am gratefully redeemed, regenerated, and reformed.
The good, true, and beautiful beckon me.
These are the things that stir my soul and compose the music of my days.

I have the great joy of walking through this world with my beloved husband, Dana, to whom I am happily married. I’m deeply blessed to be the mother of four—two daughters and two sons—and now, by grace, a son-in-law and two daughters-in-law. My cup overflows for the Lord has multiplied our humble beginnings into the joy of twelve beautiful grandchildren.
I was blessed to be home with my children while they were growing, including six treasured years home-schooling them. I have taught thirteen years in a private Christian school – 5th grade was my favorite – and now I work in a small financial planning office. I have dreams of someday retiring into editing work or proofreading.
I delight in:
- God’s Word and bringing it to bear in meaningful conversations
- Living books (as opposed to twaddle)
- Theology (and ancient philosophy)
- The paideia of the Lord which guides and nurtures children to reflect God in wisdom and character
- A vision of education that adapts a gentle classical approach to Charlotte Mason
- Golden oldies from the 60s & 70s, hymns from all ages, films from the 1940s, and opera
- And yes, I’m a bit of a political junkie
God has impressed upon my husband and me the weight of these times. Like many Christian parents and grandparents, we earnestly pray that the baton of faith and truth will pass securely to future generations—that God’s Word and genuine faith will take deep root in the hearts and lives of our descendants.
Along with a collection of my own thoughts and reflections, you’ll find here my commonplace book of faith, family, and things worth remembering. May it be used to plant truth, to pass along the faith, and to pursue the beautiful. And may God grant grace to Dana and me to shoot over the horizon – to affect a future we will never see. Soli Deo Gloria.
Psalm 78:5-7
He established a testimony in Jacob
and appointed a law in Israel,
which he commanded our fathers
to teach to their children,
that the next generation might know them,
the children yet unborn,
and arise and tell them to their children,
so that they should set their hope in God
and not forget the works of God,
but keep his commandments.
